Certified Lactation Counselor

Birth & Postpartum Doula | Childbirth Mentor

Hi, I’m Meg Berg

I am so happy you are here

My sole focus is to help you navigate the uncharted waters of parenthood. I am here to ensure you have the proper support and education to foster your family’s growth. I will be alongside you to support the healing & processing of your birth and your vision for the future, setting you and your family up for success long after our time together.

If your ideal caregiver is someone who will lovingly prepare an herbal postpartum sitz bath for you as well as someone who fervently washes pump pieces up to CDC regulations, we may be a swell match! ;)

Meg was not only knowledgeable about all of my prenatal concerns - including nutrition - but also counseled me through some of the tougher mental and emotional aspects of pregnancy and labor. Meg has such a calming, beautiful presence. She is a wonderful person and professional. I cannot recommend her enough!!!”

 Our Time Together Will Be…

  • Personalized

It is my intention to assess you and your baby’s needs each time I visit. From our causal check-ins, I can prepare the appropriate emotional support, foods, space, and newborn care you need that day.

I can adapt my approach to match any parent’s learning and organization style to ensure that the ultimate level of support is provided.

  • Evidence-based

Using evidence based practices, I will help you tackle each new hurdle, from feeding your baby to motor function development. When it comes to feeding, I will reference evidence-based resources such as LactMed and other ALPP lactation approved resources. All suggestions, from sleeping positions to body & formula feeding, will be supported by up-to-date information from the CDC, WHO, and UNICEF.

  • Emotionally Secure

We will welcome the full spectrum of emotions that this window of time brings. I respect the duality of this journey. It is important to care for yourself as you undertake a rite of passage that will forever change you, while still honoring and celebrating the unique, strong person you have always been. You are adding parent to the long list of amazing roles you already hold.

Lunar Fruit is inspired by & dedicated to

the love shared between my grandparents, Muriel and James Egan. Though their own love story was cut short by tragedy, the legacy of their love lives within my lineage.

I hope to honor my family through my work, especially my grandmother. She dedicated her life to caring for others; first as a student disability services worker, then as a nurse aid, and finally, in her late 70s, as a domestic violence responder. She taught me that there is no greater power than sharing our capacity to care for one another.

To the lineages we carry & to those we choose to create...
